The Green Match Fund is a match funding campaign for charities which are working on environmental issues as part of their core mission. All public donations made to participating charities via the BigGive website during the week of the campaign (22-29 April) will be matched up to a specific amount. Each participating charity will be awarded a ring-fenced amount of match funding which will be used to match public donations. All the match funding is provided by donors; charities do not need to secure their own pledges for the campaign. Charities can apply for general funding rather than a specific project and can use the campaign to raise unrestricted funds.

The Gannochy Trust is an independent grant maker, informed by its Funding Strategy and Guidance for 2019 to 2022. During this funding strategy, the greater percentage of the Trust’s funding will be aimed at groups and organisations within Perth and Kinross. Organisations within Perth and Kinross can apply for funding: improve the quality of life for people; develop and inspire young people and improve the availability or quality of the built and natural environment for wide community use. In the rest of Scotland the “develop and inspire young people” strand is available to organisations which support direct work with young people who are disadvantaged and vulnerable in communities that have limited access to resources and opportunities. The Trust aims to fund the most compelling projects or organisations that deliver the outcomes that they hope to achieve with our funding, particularly for young people. The Trust will accept applications from organisations working in areas such as community, sport, culture including art, music and dance, youth work, environment, health and wellbeing and heritage.

The Climate Action Fund will support communities in the UK to take local action on climate change. These communities will demonstrate what’s possible when people lead in this work. With this support, they will share their learning and engage with others to build a broader movement of change across the UK. The focus of the funding will be supporting community-driven projects that address waste and consumption. This covers themes such as food waste, repair and re-use, retail and consumerism, and waste streams. Projects must be able to show: - how they are community-led - that they are working in partnership - their plans for how the project will achieve lasting impact - how they will reach more people - their approach to learning and sharing
